John Anderson was born in Dundee, Forfarshire, and served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion, Royal Highlanders. He was killed in action on the Western Front, 25 January 1915, and is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, Pas-de-Calais, France.

David Morgan Thomas enlisted in the Royal Highlanders, 7 September 1914. He served during the Great War with the 9th Battalion, and was discharged due to wounds, 15 March 1917.
