Michael Meade landed with the 1st Battalion, Royal Munster Fusiliers at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. He was killed in action on 21 August 1915, aged 35, and is commemorated by name on the Helles Memorial. He was the husband of Annie Kearen Dwyer (formerly Meade), of 15 Ballymullen Road, Tralee, co. Kerry.
