Edward A. Richmond joined the Navy as a Cadet in the training ship Britannia on 8 September 1863; Midshipman, 21 June 1865; Sub Lieutenant, 20 December 1869; Lieutenant, 17 December 1873; Lieutenant in Temeraire at Alexandria, 11 July 1882, and with the Naval Brigade, 15-18 July 1882, and on Transport Duties, 19 August 1882 (Medal with clasp; Khedive’s Bronze Star); retired with rank of Commander from 1 October 1895, and joined for Coast Guard Duties. Sold with copied record of service.
