Victory Medal 1914-19 (2) (37 Subdr. Sayid Ali, 11-69 Pjbis.; 974 Sepoy Wir Singh, 45 Sikhs.) small area of erasure after unit on second; India General Service 1908-35, 1 clasp, Waziristan 1921-24 (3870 C.H.M. Ahmed Khan, 5-8 Punjab R.) number partially officially corrected; Indian Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.V.R., 2nd issue (1281 Hav. Ahmed Khan served in the Indian Army from 1911 to 1935. He saw active service during the Great War in Egypt, on the Western Front, in Iraq and Mesopotamia, and in Palestine. He subsequently served with the 5th (Burma) Battalion, 8th Punjab Regiment from 1923-24, ands was advanced to his ultimate rank of Jemadar.

Milkha Singh was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, together with an annuity, whilst serving with the 10th (Training) Battalion, 12th Frontier Force Regiment.
