Richard William Moulton was born in Liscard, Cheshire, and attested for the Liverpool Regiment in Liverpool. He served with the 20th (4th City Pals) Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was advanced acting Company Sergeant Major. He was killed in action on 20 October 1916; he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.

James Marsh was born in Wigan, Lancashire, and attested for the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at St. Helen’s, Lancashire. He served with the 6th Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War, and was killed in action on 9 August 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.
