Waterloo 1815 (Richard Day, 2nd Batt. 95th Reg. Foot.) fitted with replacement silver clip and split ring suspension, very fine £1,800-£2,200

Richard Day was born in Hungerford, Berkshire. In 1803 he joined the Wiltshire Militia and served at various stations around England including the guarding of a large prisoner-of-war camp at Normans Cross. In 1809 he joined the 95th Foot and served in the expedition against Walcheren. At Waterloo he served in the 2nd Company commanded by Captain Joseph Logan. Day was discharged, 25 June, 1817, suffering from deafness.
