Walter Clement Gibson was a native of Banstead, Surrey. He served during the Great War with the Royal Army Service Corps in the French theatre of war from 21 August 1915. He was serving with the R.A.S.C. Motor Transport Headquarters, Guards Division for the award of his M.M.
