Military Medal, G.V.R. (1851 L. Cpl. P. Murray. 2/R. Scots.) minor edge bruise; 1914 Star, with clasp (1851 Pte. P. Murray. 2/R. Scots); British War and Victory Medals (1851 Pte. P. Murray. R. Scots.) mounted for display, initial officially corrected on last two, good very fine (4) £300-£400

P. Murray served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots in the French theatre of war from 23 October 1914. The Battalion served as part of the 8th Brigade, 3rd Division, on the Somme, July - November 1916.

M.I.C. records that the BWM and VM were erroneously issued with the initial ‘R’, and returned for official correction.
