Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service, G.V.R. (No. 1419. Colour Sergeant G. W. Griffiths.) polished, therefore very fine £120-160

G. W. Griffiths resided in British Honduras. He served as a Corporal in the British Honduras Volunteers from 1907, and took part in an expedition to Stann Creek in June of that year to assist in restoring order following rioting by Jamaican labourers. Griffiths advanced to Colour Sergeant and was awarded his Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal in 1919 (British Honduras Government Gazette 24 May 1919).
