Thomas Gibson was born in Old Trafford, Manchester. He served during the Great War with the 1/7th (Fife) Battalion, Royal Highlanders (Territorial). Gibson was killed in action, 31 July 1917, and is buried in New Irish Farm Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
