Alexander Irwin was born in Limavady, County Derry, and moved to Glasgow before the war. He served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Highland Light Infantry. Irwin was killed in action, 17 April 1915, and is buried in the Gorre British and Indian Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.

Alexander Dunlop was born in Govan, Glasgow. He served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion, Gordon Highlanders on the Western Front. Dunlop was killed in action, 14 December 1914, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

William Graham Gass was a native of Galashiels, Selkirkshire. He initially served during the Great War with the Royal Scots Fusiliers, prior to transferring to the 18th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry (4th Glasgow). Gass was killed in action, 19 August 1917, and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
