Surrey Regt.); King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (5656 Pte. W. Hodges. E. Surrey Regt.); 1914 Star, with clasp (L-5656 Pte. W. T. Hodges. 1/E. Surr: R.); British War and Victory Medals (L-5656 Pte. W. T. Hodges. E. Surr. R.); Imperial Service Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue (William Thomas Hodges.) edge bruise to QSA, the Boer War awards polished, therefore good fine, the rest very fine or better (6) £260-300

William Thomas Hodges attested for the East Surrey Regiment and served with the 2nd Battalion in South Africa during the Boer War, and with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 16 August 1914. He was discharged on 9 October 1915, and was awarded his Imperial Service Medal in 1940 (London Gazette 8 March 1940), whilst employed as a Postman in the London Postal Region.

Sold with an East Surrey Regiment cap badge and shoulder titles.
