John Metcalf/Metcalfe served in France and Flanders with the 3rd Battalion from 7 October 1914, and was discharged unfit for further service owing to ‘sickness aggravated by active service overseas’ on 2 March 1918. Sold with copied Boer War medal rolls, m.i.c., and Great War attestation papers.
