Constabulary of Ireland Insignia, extremely rare early 19th C items and comprising two shako plates of similar form one in gilt the other in bronze and featuring the Guelphic crown (this was worn on a corded boss above the following) being a multi-rayed background shamrock sprays an oval strap ‘Constabulary of Ireland’ and with central Harp; a Senior Officer’s forage cap badge in gilt and silver featuring the Guelphic crown shamrock sprays circular title strap ‘Constabulary of Ireland’ and silver central Harp; a similar item in die stamped bronze but without a crown which may have been worn above and separately; one half only of a Senior Officer’s waist belt clasp featuring a gilt oval with shamrock decoration enclosing a silver Guelphic crown over a silver Harp; one gilt coatee button QVC over Harp with oak sprays, all fasteners intact, very fine overall condition (8) £1500-2000
