43rd Bengal Light Infantry Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c. 1843-55, a very fine example, a rectangular burnished gilt back plate with silver and gilt overlays, comprising a crowned cross this with battle honours, in the centre laurel sprays enclosing a circle ‘Bengal Light Infantry’ and ‘43’, below the cross a double battle honour scroll a coiled bugle horn bearing the date ‘1842’ within the coil. Complete with all four fasteners and original leather lining, very fine condition £1000-1400
