John Tyrer, a native of Westhoughton, Lancashire, served on the Western Front with the 1/5th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. He was killed in action on 5 September 1918 when his battalion was in action at Neuville Bourjonval. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial, France.

John Sindall originally enlisted into the Royal Field Artillery before being transferred to the Lancashire Fusiliers the following November. He landed in France on 14 January 1917 with the 18th (Service) Battalion (2nd South East Lancashire), Lancashire Fusiliers and was later posted to the 15th (Service) Battalion (1st Salford).

James Stuttard enlisted on 13 December 1915 and served on the Western Front with the 20th (Service) Battalion (4th Salford), Lancashire Fusiliers. He was invalided from the army on 19 October 1917, no longer physically fit for war service.

Ernest Gee served with the Lancashire Fusiliers, later transferring to the Labour Corps.

Alfred Edgerley served on the Western Front with the 16th (Service) Battalion (2nd Salford), Lancashire Fusiliers before transferring to the 22nd (Service) Battalion (3rd Tyneside Scottish), Northumberland Fusiliers.

James Whiting originally served with 1/6th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers before transferring to the Army Service Corps.

Percy William Hance enlisted on 16 June 1917 and served on the Western Front with the 10th (Service) Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. He was discharged from the Army on 13 November 1918, no longer physically fit for active service.

Walmsley Bury served on the Western Front with the 15th (Service) Battalion (1st Salford), Lancashire Fusiliers.

Montague Edwards was born in Liverpool, enlisted into the Cheshire Regiment on 9 September 1914 and was transferred to the 25th Divisional Cyclist Company, Army Cyclist Corps in December 1914. He landed in France on 26 September 1915 and later transferred to the 1st Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment.

Henry Lewis Evans served with the 1/6th (Carnarvonshire & Anglesey) Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, landing at Gallipoli from the 8 August 1915. He was posted to the 5/6th Battalion when the 1/5th and 1/6th amalgamated in August 1918. During his service he spent periods attached to 9th Corps Transport Depot and the Divisional Transport Train.
