Thomas Crompton Parsons was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Machine Gun Corps, 1 October 1916, and served during the Great War in the French theatre of war from 22 September 1916. He advanced to Lieutenant in July 1917, and was attached to the 5th Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment. Parsons advanced to Acting Captain, 23 February 1918. After the war he resided at 59 Clevelands Road, Burnley, Lancashire.
