The British S.S. Falcon, of Glasgow, was wrecked in the North Atlantic on 16 November 1890. The lifeboat of the American steamship Pennsylvania was launched in very heavy seas, and at great risk to life, took off the Falcon’s crew. The rescued crew were landed at Philadelphia 11 days later. Second Officer F. P. Crocket was awarded the Foreign Services Medal in Gold; four others, including Jenson were awarded the Medal in Silver together with £2. Ref. The Sea Gallantry Medal, by R. J.
