Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Defence of Ladysmith, Orange Free State, Transvaal (Capt. F. A. B. Fryer. 6/Drgns.); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaf (Brig. Gen. F. A. B. Fryer); Delhi Durbar 1911 (Lt. Col: F. A. B. Fryer, 6/Dragoons) together with companion miniature medals, both sets mounted as worn, nearly extremely fine (8) £300-360

Frederick Arthur Bashford Fryer, 6th Dragoons, served on the Staff in South Africa in 1899-1900, in the Defence of Ladysmith; operations in the Transvaal east of Pretoria, including action at Lydenburg (5 to 8 September); operations in the Transvaal west of Pretoria, including actions at Elands River (4 to 16 August), and Frederickstad (17 to 25 October); operations in Cape Colony north of Orange River, including action at Ruidam (Queen’s Medal with 4 clasps). Served on the Staff in Egypt during the Great War from 4 November 1916.
