1st Forfarshire Artillery Volunteers Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1878 - 1901, the blue cloth skull complete with all plated fittings except the ball finial, the frontal plate of Royal Arms pattern with ‘1st’ top scroll and ‘Forfarshire Artillery Volunteers’ bottom scroll, the plate is original to the helmet, buff leather sweat band and quilted ivory silk crown lining, two small moth holes to the front peak otherwise very good overall condition £260-340
