Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, South Africa 1902 (40501 Pte. G. Dunn. 138th. Coy. Imp: Yeo:) edge bruising, nearly very fine £70-90

George Dunn was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1881 and attested for the Imperial Yeomanry at Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 8 January 1902, having previously served with the Tyne Sub Marine Royal Engineer Volunteers. He served with the 138th Company, 30th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa during the Boer War from 8 May to 18 November 1902, and was discharged at Aldershot on 25 November 1902, after 322 days’ service.
