The King’s (Liverpool) Regiment Militia Battalions Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1903 - 08, a good quality example, the blue cloth skull complete with all plated fittings, the frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of crimson velvet the White Horse of Hanover with scroll above ‘Nec Aspera Terrent’, a scroll at the bottom ‘The King’s Regt’, the plate is original to the helmet, white leather sweat band with ivory silk lining (part detached), retailed by ‘Hobson & Sons, London’, the spike’s thread is stripped and therefore loose otherwise very good overall condition £400-500
