21st Hussars NCO’s Pouch Badge, 21st (Empress of India’s) Lancers Officers’ Pouch Badges & Harness Ornaments. The first a very rare example, in die-cast brass features the crown over laurel sprays enclosing ‘21’, a scroll at the bottom, ‘Hussars’, two screw post fasteners (c1861-1897); three pouch badges all in die-cast gilt metal, two of varying size feature the Imperial crown over ‘VRI’, the third shows crossed lances, the Imperial crown and the ‘VRI’ cypher, complete with all screw post fasteners; the first harness ornament in heavy gauge brass of box-slide pattern the front with applied badge featuring upright lances the Imperial crown and ‘XXI’, the second a bit boss in heavy gauge brass of post 1902 pattern, crown, unit title and central cypher, four short blade fasteners, very good overall condition (6) £200-300
