16th The Queen’s Lancers Officer’s Sabretache Badge and Pouch Badge (?), the first in all gilt metal featuring the crown, crossed lances, unit title, Union sprays and battle honours to Aliwal and Sobron, two loop fasteners; the second features a circular Garter Proper enclosing a floreate ‘C’, three screw post fasteners, very fine condition (2) £400-500

Note: The ‘C’ badge of the regiment was worn on early period shoulder belt plates though curiously enough it is not until 1909 that the cypher of Queen Charlotte within the Garter was officially authorised for the 16th Lancers.
