8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars Insignia, a fine selection including officers gilt and silver caps QVC, KC the latter with matching collars, o/r. caps QVC with matching collars, a KC all brass cap with bi-metal collars, QEC bi-metal cap by Gaunts of London, o.s.d. cap with matching collars KC, later pattern officers caps in gilt and silver plate KC, QEC the latter with 1.5 matching collars, o.s.d. later pattern cap KC, a pair of QEC o.s.d. collars; a very scarce and early brass collar being ‘VIII’, shoulder titles 8H, VIIIH (three variable), NCOs arm badges QEC in whiter metal of hollow back construction, a KC pattern hall marked silver by Bent & Parker (marks illegible) hollow back construction, two KC die stamped white metal varieties (one with fretted centre one solid), two pieces of harness furniture the first with Guelphic crown over regimental motto mounted in the centre with QVC Maid and Harp and laurel sprays two plain post fasteners, the second with original leather backing with KC centre (pattern without crown), very good overall condition (35) £400-500
