2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen’s Bays) Regimental Sergeant Major’s Cap Badge c1902-1952. An excessively rare example being of collar badge size in die-cast bronze but fitted with a slider fastener, very fine condition £140-200

NOTE. A badge of such rare usage was probably handed down by the incumbent officer to his successor.
Seaman p21 Fig.3 shows RSM Walley wearing the badge in his dress cap 1937.

This is a genuine cap badge with ORIGINAL slider fastener and NO evidence of it being an altered collar badge. The photograph referred to is of RSM FA Dolby NOT Walley. The small size osd cap badge was in general use for all officers of the regiment by the mid-1920's
