Francis Elliot, ironmonger, Eastgate, admitted freeman 1626, alive 1666; John Goodall (1637-1720), b. Earl Shilton, lived at Eastgate, admitted freeman December 1659, chamberlain 1665, churchwarden 1670, alderman 1671, mayor 1690, first wife Sarah, née Rowe (†1689) bore him 11 children, second wife Appolina; Daniel Heggs (b.1638), mercer, apprenticed to Francis Elliot, admitted freeman April 1661. Sold with relevant photocopies of ‘Notes on Leicester 17th century tokens’ by Mr Rains, published in
TCSB December 2002, pp.178-86, which gives further detail
