A diamond and platinum cocktail watch, 1930s, the rectangular dial with black Arabic numerals, within a bezel of brilliant-cut diamonds, millegrain edged, between similarly set brilliant and baguette-cut diamond set geometric link shoulders, to a two-row diamond bracelet, the reverse with engraved foliate panels, stamped ‘CERTIFIED PLATINUM’ to the clasp, the manual wind movement stamped ‘Glycine Watch Co’, the inside case stamped ‘platinum’ and numbered ‘29130’, length 16.3cm. £2000-3000

The Glycine Watch Co was founded in 1914 by Eugène Meylon in Bienne, Switzerland and became one of the market leaders for producing miniature movements for fine quality watches.
