A medieval gold and garnet ring, the cabochon pear-shaped garnet in pie-dish bezel between stepped shoulders to a thin wire shank, mounted in yellow gold, ring size approximately L. £800-1200
This ring was discovered near Old Romney in Kent. It has been disclaimed by the crown as treasure, ref: 2016-T893 (a copy of the letter from the Assistant Treasure Registrar accompanied the lot).
