Punjab 1848-49, 2 clasps, Mooltan, Goojerat (John Horrigan, 1st Eur. Fus) minor contact marks and edge bruises, good very fine £400-460

John Horrigan was born in Macroom, Co. Cork, and attested on 4 June 1847. He died in service in India on 13 August 1849.
The 1st Europeans carried the Kooni Boorj breach at the storming of Mooltan on 2 January 1849. The Queen’s Colour of the Regiment was planted by Sergeant John Bennett, who was rewarded for his bravery with a commission.
