East Kent Rifles Officer’s Green Cloth Helmet c. 1878-83, a good quality example complete with rib pattern chin chain, toned metal side ornaments, quadrant and helmet plate this of crowned Bath style cross pattern, on the circle ‘East Kent Rifles’, in the centre the White Horse of Kent on a scroll ‘Invicta’, buff leather sweat band and crimson silk lining, the plate is original to the helmet, the spike is a replacement of black painted white metal, good overall condition £360-460
