Roscommon Militia Officer’s Helmet Plate 1878-1881, a fine and rare example in silver plate of crowned star pattern backplate with laurel overlays enclosing a circle ‘Roscommon Regiment’, in the centre on a ground of black velvet the Maid and Harp, complete with three loop fasteners, the velvet centre faded otherwise very good condition £500-700
