Harry Bagnall served during the Second World War with No. 626 Squadron (Lancasters), Royal Air Force, based at R.A.F. Wickenby, and took part as a Wireless Operator in 30 operational sorties during the period 24 December 1943 until 31 May 1944; targets included Berlin (5); Brunswick; Leipzig; Stuttgart (2); Frankfurt (2); Essen; Cologne (2); Dusseldorf; Dortmund; and Aachen (3). Commissioned Pilot Officer on 24 October 1944, he was promoted Flying Officer on 24 April 1945, and relinquished his Commission on 19 March 1946.
Sold together with a full copy of the recipient’s Flying Log Book, Service and Release Book; and Officer’s Pay and Allowances Book, all comb bound together; and various photographic images.
