Three: Captain C. E. Simon, Army Service Corps

1914 Star (Lieut: C. E. Simon. A.S.C.); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaves (Capt. C. E. Simon.) mounted as worn, nearly very fine (3) £100-140

M.I.D. London Gazette 15 June 1916.

Charles Edward Simon was commissioned in the Army Service Corps, and served with the Corps during the Great War on the Western Front from 18 September 1914, and was promoted Temporary Captain on 1 August 1915. Recalled for service during the Second World War on 28 September 1939 as a War Substantive Lieutenant in the same unit, he was promoted Temporary Captain again on 17 April 1943. He was still serving December 1946.
He is confirmed as being in the British Jewry Book of Honour.

North West London Motor Club Prize Medal, silver and enamel, the reverse engraved ‘Lawrence Cup Trial 1929. C E. Simon’; Army Service Corps Bronze Officer's Cap Badge; and three tunic riband bars for a trio less M.I.D. emblems.
