Leslie Verdun Martin (as he appears in both the London Gazette and in the Air Ministry Orders) was awarded the L.S. & G.C. as a Master Engineer in April 1961.

Martin’s Halifax was shot down by a night fighter on ops to Bochum, 12/13 June 1943. The entire crew were taken POW.
