3rd Glamorgan Rifle Volunteers Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1878-83, a good quality example, the skull complete with all plated fittings, the frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel overlays and circular Garter ‘3rd Glamorgan Rifle Volunteers’, in the centre a lion statant (no backing material), the plate probably original to the helmet, buff leather sweatband and supplier’s details ‘Hobson & Sons, London’, very slight leather loss to the rear peak otherwise very good overall condition £600-800
