Kent Artillery Volunteers Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1878-1901, the skull complete with all silver plated fittings, the frontal plate of Royal Arms pattern with double wheel cannon, laurel top scroll and ‘Kent Artillery Volunteers’ bottom scroll, the plate is original to the helmet, buff leather sweatband with crimson silk lining, together with a japanned metal carrying tin this with period paper label ‘3rd Kent Artillery Vols (Royal Arsenal Vols)’, very good overall condition (2) £400-600
