The York & Lancaster Regiment Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1902-14, the skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, the extremely fine frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet a silver and gilt rose, at the base a scroll ‘The York & Lancaster Regiment’, the plate is original to the helmet, white leather sweatband, the gilt very good on all areas except the back spine, small sections of the leather trim missing on the rear peak, two minute moth holes otherwise in very good condition £500-600
