The Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry Officer’s Green Cloth Helmet c. 1902-14, an exceptionally fine example, the skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, a very fine frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of dark green velvet a gilt strung bugle horn, a turreted gateway and upon the strings of the bugle horn two red feathers set in gilt metal, title scroll below ‘The Duke of Cornwall’s Lt.Infy.’ buff leather sweatband with crimson silk lining, the plate is original to the helmet, very slight gilt loss to the spike and quadrant otherwise very good overall condition £600-800
