Memorial Plaque (2) (William George Wingate; George Spencer Bishop) good very fine (2) £80-120

William George Wingate was born in Stubbington, Hampshire, and attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Gosport, Hampshire. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and died in France on 1 March 1917. He is buried in St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.

George Spencer Bishop was born in Salisbury and attested for the Army Service Corps at Swanwick, Southampton. He served during the Great War with 178th (Reading) Company, and died at home on 10 April 1915. He is buried in Fareham (St. Paul’s Sarisbury) Burial Ground, Hampshire.
