Victor John French was born at Chatham on 6 May 1890, and was appointed a Church of England Chaplain Fourth Class in the Bedfordshire Army Cadet Force on 1 August 1950. He was awarded his Cadet Forces Medal on 29 November 1963, and retired on 2 June 1965. He died in Bedfordshire in 1973.
