Patrick Burke was born in London and attested there for the King’s Own Scottish Borderers. He served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War, was promoted Lance-Corporal, and was killed in action on the Western Front on the first day of the Battle of Loos on 25 September 1915. He is buried in Lens Eastern Communal Cemetery, France.

J. Gray served with the King’s Own Scottish Borderers during the Great War on the Western Front from 5 December 1914, subsequently transferring to the Royal Scots and later the Military Foot Police.

Thomas Jenkins was born at Jarrow-on-Tyne, Northumberland, and attested for the King’s Own Scottish Borderers at Edinburgh. He served with the 6th Battalion during the Great War, and was killed in action on the Western Front on 30 September 1918. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, France.
