Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (3238 W. Holland. H.M’s 54th Regt.) very fine £260-300

Confirmed on medal roll which was forwarded by the War Office for consideration on 9 November 1870, and medals were subsequently ordered on 21 January 1871. The muster roll of the 54th Regiment for 1857-58 shows William Holland as being on board the City of Manchester, and subsequently spending five days in ‘Regimental or General Hospital’.
