Thomas Hague served at Waterloo in Captain T. A. Dudie’s Company, under Lieutenant John Campbell with Ensign John Christie, both of whom were wounded, the latter whilst defending one of the colours from a French lancer who was both shot and bayonetted by the nearest of the soldiers of the 44th.
