John William Johnson was born in Durham on 14 November 1885, and served with the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Great War. He died in Northumberland on 12 May 1947.

Sold together with the recipient’s passport, containing a photograph of the recipient, and various copied birth, marriage, and death certificates.

Robert Hilton was born in Bury, Lancashire, in 1881, and served with the 29th Reinforcements (Egyptian Expeditionary Force), Royal Army Medical Corps during the Great War. He died in Egypt on 14 June 1919, and is buried in Alexandria (Hadra) War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
