Albert Hill was born in Hollinwood, Lancashire, and attested there for the Lancashire Fusiliers. He served with the 10th Battalion during the Great War, and died of wounds on the Western Front on 12 April 1918. He is buried in Villers-Faucon Communal Cemetery, France.
