Clare 2nd Bn. R. Bde.) light contact marks, otherwise good very fine (4) £380-420

William Clare was born in Warrington, and enlisted into the Rifle Brigade at Manchester on 9 August 1893, aged 23 years 11 months, a clerk by trade. Sold with copied discharge papers which confirm all medals and his service during the occupation of Crete in 1898.
