B.E.M. London Gazette 8 June 1944: ‘No. 3952414 Sergeant David Rees George, The Welch Regiment.’

The recommendation states:

‘This N.C.O. has 22 years service in the Territorial Army. He carries out the duties of Weapon Training Sergeant in this unit. His instructional abilities are of a very high standard. He sets a very high standard of personal ability and example for his age. With W.O.s, N.C.O.s and other ranks whose ability on arrival is not as high as it might be, he has been a very great help in raising the standard. His personality does this. He is very loyal.’

Campaign stars and service not confirmed.
