France, Chambre de Commerce de Perpignan et des Pyrénées-Orientales, a silver-gilt Art Deco award medal by R. Bénard, Mercury seated holding a sailing ship in one hand, bunches of grapes and fruit on either side, city behind, rev. kneeling naked figure of a young woman squeezing grapes into a cup held aloft by a young boy, foothills of the Pyrenees in distance, named (Jean Sarda Soucas, Memre. Elu le 5 Decembre 1937), 85mm (cf. BDW 9, 744). Extremely fine and very rare; in original case (£150-200)
