Edward IV (First reign, 1461-1470), Groat, class II, mm. rose, quatrefoils by neck, crescent on breast, 3.91g/11h (N 1531; S 1972). Flan slightly irregular, hairline striking split at ten o’clock and legends weak in places, but very fine with a clear portrait and attractively toned (£500-600)
